Fruit Tree Pruning – 03/23/10

This class will focus on the pruning and training of fruit trees to encourage a bountiful supply of fresh fruit. Topics covered in this class include tools, strategy behind pruning, which times of year to prune and train, and differences among fruit trees. We will be outside using the Prairiewoods fruit trees as live examples. Instructor Patrick O'Malley is a commerical horticulture field specialist for Iowa State University Extension. Pre-register by March 19.
