Holistic Services

Visitors to Prairiewoods may enjoy a variety of holistic services during their stay. The services we offer include:

Massage Therapy. Experience the healing power of touch.

Hand and Foot Reflexology. Enjoy improved organ function and relaxation.

Treat for Your Feet. Give your feet special attention with a warm, bubbly soak, an exfoliation scrub and a foot massage.

Paraffin Bath for Hands or Feet. A paraffin bath leaves your skin soft and pliable and helps relieve pain and stiffness.

Healing Touch and Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry. Various techniques are used to influence the energy system to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. The goal is to restore harmony and balance to the energy system.

Our staff also serves as a resource for persons wanting to learn more about holistic health.

Spiritual Direction

Prairiewoods qualified spiritual directors help individuals place themselves freely before God and reflect on life experiences. Each person seeking spiritual direction already has a direction in life and desires to pay attention to and talk about this ongoing relationship with God. Tyically, sspiritual direction is one hour long and occurs monthly and /or during a directed retreat.

Community Outreach

Prairiewoods can bring its programs and services to your church, school, business or organization. Our outreach programs cover spirituality topics and environmental and holistic resources.

Spiritual Resources

Is your group or organization interested in exploring spirituality? Prairiewoods staff can make arrangements to present a variety of spiritual tools to your group at your site or onsite at Prairiewoods. Topics may include: learning about the labyrinth, enneagram, Myers-Briggs, various forms of prayer, Scriptural resources, spiritual spa and renewal days, catechist’s retreat and much more. Based on your group’s interest, presentations can be molded to meet your needs.

Environmental Services

Prairiewoods staff can share idas on adopting alternative energy resources, creating a sustainable environment, living “more green,” tours of Prairiewoods’ ecological features, presentations and resources. Bring your students or organization to Prairiewoods to learn more or invite us to come to you!
