As summer moves toward its close, the world shifts. The light begins to change, the gardens, once green and blooming, begin their surrender and offer their final fruits. The buzz of high summer gives way to a quieter, slower rhythm. It’s a season that moves from abundance to breakdown, where what was planted comes to fruition, and what’s left begins to fall away.
This moment in the year is not just about harvest. It’s about the breaking down of structure. The letting go. The turning inward. And in that, there’s an invitation to compost what’s no longer needed, to build nourishment for what’s coming next, to prepare the ground for a new season.
Our lives follow these same rhythms. There are times for planting, for pushing forward, for high activity, for fruition. And there are times, like now, that call for reflection, release and rebalancing. The Path of Transformation retreat is about recognizing that what’s ending is also clearing space for something new. Whether that’s a shift in identity, a deepening of purpose, or a simple exhale after a long season of effort, this is a time to reassess, realign, reveal deeper truths and tend our own inner soil.
Over the course of this weekend, we’ll explore transformation through the lens of the Hero’s Journey and the ancient process of alchemy. These traditions – one mythic, one symbolic – offer powerful maps for personal change. Alchemy speaks of four stages: nigredo (breakdown), albedo (clarity), citrinitas (illumination), and rubedo (integration). The Hero’s Journey follows a similar arc: The call to adventure, descent, revelation, and return.
We’ll work with these themes through yoga practice, breath, meditation, storytelling, seasonal ritual, and symbolic practices. This is a space created with care. A space where presence, preparation, and intention are felt, processed and integrated. You’ll be invited to examine what’s falling away in your life and use that dissolution as fuel for transformation . We’ll use movement and breath to stir the body’s intelligence. We’ll use metaphor and myth to orient the mind. And we’ll use silence, nature, and presence to anchor the heart.
Previous participants describe this work as deeply resonant – sparking insight, alignment, and emotional clarity. It’s an offering grounded in authenticity and devotion, where the cycles of nature meet the inner work of the soul. Held in the sacred, loving space of Prairiewoods, the experience invites you to feel grounded, supported and empowered.
This weekend is an invitation to witness your own process with curiosity. It’s about reconnecting with your deeper knowing, realigning with your truth, allowing yourself to shed what’s no longer needed and emerging with strength, clarity and purpose.
If you’re feeling the stirrings of change…
If you’re standing between something that’s ending and something that hasn’t quite begun…
If you’re ready to see your own life as part of a larger cycle, this weekend is for you.
