Prairiewoods offers several meeting spaces in quiet, natural surroundings for businesses, nonprofits, clubs or departments that want to get away from daily distractions. Our facilities are ideal for workshops, planning sessions, seminars, retreats and conferences. We provide modern technology, professional audio-visual equipment, free wireless internet, healthy meals made in house by our kitchen team and outdoor areas for relaxation. Lodging also is available for meetings that span multiple days.
The huge variety of organizations we host include:

- nonprofits like Trees Forever, Catherine McCauley Center and UnityPoint
- organizations in the public sector, including Iowa Health and Human Services, AmeriCorps and Master Gardeners

Host a Meeting at Prairiewoods
Prairiewoods is known for its hospitality. Your group will be welcomed with a warm smile, eco-friendly service and delicious meals. Our kitchen team can provide breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks for your group.
If you need help planning the day, our experienced staff is happy to work with you to plan or facilitate a memorable and rejuvenating day for your group. We can facilitate a variety of activities, including indoor and outdoor labyrinth walks, eco-tours and mindfulness meditations.
When you meet at Prairiewoods, you get so much more than a meeting space! You have access to our outdoor spaces: 67 acres of woods and prairie that are crossed by more than 2.5 miles of walking trails. The labyrinth (an ancient meditation tool), tree swings, edible landscaping and pond deck offer contemplative options for breaks and outdoor dining.
Meeting Spaces & Rates
Meeting room rental fees include set-up and tear-down of tables and chairs and access to technology and wireless internet. Overnight lodging, meals and snacks may be added for additional fees. Here are basic rates and information for our meeting spaces:

Full Conference Room
(29’ x 38’)
Half Day (4 hours or less): $200
Full Day (4+ hours): $300
The conference room can accommodate 70 theater style (chairs) or 45 classroom style (chairs and tables). It is a large, open space, which makes it great for yoga and tai chi. The room can be divided in half and features an interactive whiteboard and sound system for presentations.

Lounge
(23’ x 25’)
Half Day (4 hours or less): $100
Full Day (4+ hours): $150
The lounge is a comfortable space for up to 25 people with a cozy fireplace and easy access to the meditation room. One wall is windows looking out on our beautiful grounds, and another features accordion doors that can be closed for privacy or open to let in lots of natural light.

Art Room
(18’ x 21’)
Half Day (4 hours or less): $100
Full Day (4+ hours): $165
The art room is a beautiful, well-lit space for up to 20 people. Enjoy ample windows and sunlight with gorgeous views of nature right outside. A mobile media cart allows for convenient presentations, and cabinets full of art supplies allow for creative breakout sessions.
Conference Room A/B
(29' X 19')
Half Day (4 hours or less): $100
Full Day (4+ hours): $150
Second Floor Guest House
(18’ x 25’)
Half Day (4 hours or less): $75
Full Day (4+ hours): $100
For multi-day meetings, up to 34 guests can stay overnight in our Guest House. It features 15 double-occupancy rooms (which can be used as singles) and four single rooms. Bathrooms are private or shared with one other room. Each floor has a kitchenette where morning coffee and continental breakfast can be enjoyed.
