Loving the Wild: Earth-Centering Our Spirituality, a Spirituality in the 21st Century 3-day Retreat

May 15 @ 7:00 PM - May 17 @ 1:00 PM

What do your heart and spirit and body long for, in relation to Earth – or where are you beckoned deeper, falling in love with the Sacred Wild? This contemplative retreat weekend will invite participants into this sacred grounding in Earth-relation, by means of both indoor and outdoor practices of deep listening to the animate presences of the living world, the longings of our own hearts and bodies, one another’s depths, the divine presence that is our home. This will be a rich and holy time, open to all and with space for you.

Through this experience, you will be invited:

  • To encounter land, creatures, presences, of the more-than-human world
  • To explore how such experience connects with your own heart, faith/spirituality, the Divine
  • To learn to see the world and ourselves with new eyes, with new hearts, as dwelling places of the Divine
  • To consider and honor the sacredness of all that is: the re-enchantment of the world
  • To participate in indoor and outdoor ritual/spiritual practice
  • To connect with others in discussion and contemplative presence
  • To open to teachings from humans of many traditions and to the wisdom of this place and its creatures and waters and wind

This three-day retreat at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) will be facilitated by the Rev. Dr. Lisa Dahill. Lisa is our Spirituality in the 21st Century speaker for our 30th Anniversary year here at Prairiewoods.

The cost with lodging is $295 and includes Friday and Saturday night lodging, Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch. The commuter cost is $225 and includes Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch. Both options also include participation in Saturday’s day-long program (no additional registration needed).
