Help find common edible & useful plants and “weeds” around the Prairiewoods grounds.
Explore Prairie, Woods, & Wetlands to discover which plants are edible or otherwise useful, plants to avoid, & habitats in which they are found. We’ll discuss how to identify wild edibles, what resources are available to help, & food preparation tips.
Participants will:
- Learn about several different habitats in which various plants are found.
- Discover which common plants are edible or useful.
- Find out how to identify edible plants and which plants to avoid.
- Learn about & share tips to prepare wild plants for consumption.
