At Prairiewoods, we believe that sacred space should be accessible to all. As a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Prairiewoods’ mission is to provide sacred space for all to explore relationship with Self, Others, Source of All Being, and Earth.
In light of our mission, in 2027 Prairiewoods will be introducing a new pricing model for all of our group and weekend retreats. This tiered pricing model invites you to choose between three price levels, and to decide which one best reflects what you are able to pay. There is no need to prove financial need, and no tier is considered “better” than another.
Each payment makes it possible for Prairiewoods to welcome all people while also tending the financial stewardship of the center itself.
We invite you to pause before registering and honestly consider: “What can I afford to contribute at this time?”
Choose the tier that feels both honest and sustainable for you. Your contribution is more than a retreat fee; it reflects your participation in the mission of Prairiewoods: making sacred space available to all.
Seed Tier
This serves as a foundational payment for those who need to be especially mindful of their resources. It recognizes that financial circumstances vary. Choosing Seed is an invitation to participate without feeling that cost would prevent you from entering sacred space.
Sprout Tier
This is a sustaining contribution that helps cover the true cost of offering the retreat. For many retreatants, Sprout may feel both accessible and appropriately supportive of Prairiewoods.
Branch Tier
This is a demonstration of generosity that helps sustain Prairiewoods and increase access for others. Choosing Branch strengthens Prairiewoods’ ability to offer accessible programming and sustain its sacred grounds, hospitality, staffing and mission.
Why Tiered Pricing?
Prairiewoods is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every retreat fee contributes to the ongoing programming, staffing, facilities and care of the 67 acres of land. At the same time, our Franciscan commitment calls us to create spaces where people can encounter belonging, reflection, transformation and connection—regardless of their financial circumstances.
This model allows us to hold financial sustainability and radical hospitality together. Those who are able to pay more help make it possible for others to pay less. Together, we nurture a learning community where everyone has a place.
Seed nourishes participation
Sprout strengthens sustainability.
Branch extends the reach of the mission.
Whatever tier you choose, you belong here.
Thank you for helping Prairiewoods remain a sacred space for exploring relationship with Self, Others, Source of All Being, and Earth.
