Lightning bugs spark my way. There in the darkness but unseen in the light. Nature’s light, chaotic and beautiful. Temporary and divine in their definition of impermanence that defines all. Firefly flash in space bright and bold. Cold fire without heat. Advancing and exploring. Here then there but still showing “… the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Defining a true but unclear life path through sporadic illumination. Teaching and trusting that the way is there in each step, however felt, perfect in its imperfection. Could the lightning bug be any more beautiful than when it is seen in its true brilliance? Embrace the beautiful chaos it shows when it comes to you. Assuredly unsure. Grasping to nothing but feeling the way. The feeling is the way. Finding comfort in the journey of the divine path that is murky, ebbing between the glow and darkness. The flow. The flow. The flow is life itself. Holding on to nothing but understanding the path is clear and that human’s light can be artificial and hollow. The divinity will show the way. Follow the lightning bug. Filling in the gaps by lighting yourself up, but being kind when it doesn’t happen. Show and share the glow, self-lit and assisted, whenever you can and the message will be returned. Settle in along the path of impermanence with nature’s divine assistance and enlightened guidance from the glorious sources sent your way. Searching out your own personal balance to the unique but always changing cosmic cycle of your existence at this moment. Choices, not always our own. Today I choose to follow the divine lightning bug. It sparks my way.
