Wouldn’t you love to spend a night soaring through our enchanting universe, surrounded by shining stars and pulsing planets and swirling galaxies? On Saturday, June 4, you’re invited to spend A Night in the Cosmos at Prairiewoods’ annual Garden Party fundraiser. Together we will get swept away by the twinkling lights, an out-of-this-world dinner, and stellar live and silent auctions. It will be a celestial night to remember!
Prairiewoods’ Garden Party is always one of the highlights of my year. I appreciate it for how it helps Prairiewoods continue to be a place of peace and transformation, but also because it is a fun evening full of good food and friendship. I always look forward to putting together my table of eight and contributing auction items (like the murder mystery parties that my husband and I have so much fun throwing). This year’s event will be especially exciting, since it will be our first in-person Garden Party since 2019. I can’t wait to catch up with old friends and make new ones!
On June 4, I’d love to have you join me in the second floor Ballroom at the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown Cedar Rapids for a heavenly evening of food, friendship and fundraising for Prairiewoods. The Garden Party is a great way to support the wide variety of spiritual and ecological programming Prairiewoods provides throughout the year.
The festivities include:
- 5 p.m. Social hour with an impressive silent auction and a cash bar
- 6 p.m. Out-of-this-world dinner and wine with seven of your closest friends—or soon-to-be friends—and time to put in last-minute bids on your favorite auction items
- 7 p.m. Live auction featuring a variety of amazing items ranging from exclusive Prairiewoods experiences to one-of-a-kind parties
Tickets cost $55 each or $440 for a table of 8 and must be reserved by May 30 here. If you can’t attend, please consider sending a monetary donation or a new item to be included in our live or silent auction. (If you want to learn more about how you can help, reach out to me at alewis@prairiewoods.org.) I hope you’ll join me for this fun evening under the stars!
